Mystery Skulls
Mystery Skulls is Luis Dubuc, born in Caracas and working out of Dallas, making disco-shaped electronic pop with real soul in it. "Ghost" is the one most people arrive by; "Magic" put him in a room with Nile Rodgers and Brandy. Four albums in — Forever in 2014 through to Maximum Joy in 2025 — he still writes like someone raised on hooks and unembarrassed about it.
